5 Seconds

5 seconds is all it takes! I decided to take Morgan and Lily for a walk, and I ran to get my sunglasses. I had the leash already clipped on Lily while Morgan was in the living room on her blanket. I ran into my bedroom, got my sunglasses, came back out, and this is what I found....priceless! How did she move so fast?

Feeling Inspired

Here's my latest project...don't laugh! I got a sewing machine for Christmas 2 years ago and it has been in my closet, unopened. My Mom came over a few weeks ago and showed me how to use it, and this is what I have been making! I LOVE the custom look of a "boutique" burp cloth, but refuse to pay $30.00 for something that is just going to be spit on! I'm still practicing, but here's a few of what I've done so far! Too much time on my hands, you say? I do it while baby is sleeping, it really doesn't take long at all! Very fun!

Just Because

Just wanted to share some priceless pictures from the last couple of days. Morgan is such a happy little girl, full of life, grace, happiness, and wonder. We are so blessed to have her in our lives. It's such an honor to be her mommy! She has such a sweet way about her and has brought so much joy to our home and family.

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday afternoon we took Morgan to her first pumpkin patch! We didn't stay very long, just long enough to get some cute pictures! Next year though, we will do the hay ride and all that good stuff! I thought maybe she would be the only baby there, but there were SO many little babies! The shirt and hat were a gift from one of Mommy's very favorite people, Brenda! (She looked so cute in them, thank you Brenda!!)
PS: I don't know what I was thinking wearing that orange shirt. Yuck.

Morgan's Latest "Trick"

Morgan's latest endeavor has been pulling herself up to stand! Wha.......when did she get big enough to do this???? She has done it in her crib, on the coffee table, on our legs, her toy box, and on just about anything that is low enough for her to grab. What do you think, will she be walking by Christmas? We think so!

Chappell Hill

How can you not have a good day waking up to see this face?
PS: No, I do not put her on her tummy to sleep...she refuses to stay on her back and immediately flips over the moment you put her down! Hence the reason you see no bumper in the crib! Not taking any chances there!

We went up to Chappell Hill Scarecrow Festival with some of JD's co-workers, and we had a terrific time! It was a tad warm, but Morgan did great. Not one complaint! Here are some pictures from our day! She was modeling her Halloween shirt before we left.

Doesn't everyone have at least one picture of them "driving" as a baby??

Finally a family picture!!

I bought her a teeny tiny bow that has a teeny tiny clip that cling onto her 7 wisps of hair. Maybe now people will stop asking me how old my son is! Never mind that she's usually wearing some shade of pink!

Mommy and Morgan! I am usually the photographer so it is highly unusual to actually have a picture of me with Morgan!! Need to remember to do that more!

She was so worn out and slept for a good hour!

Go Seahawks!!

Morgan Dr Visit

We went to the dr today, and he said she is doing wonderful! She weighs 13.5 lbs (10th %), and is 25 1/2 inches long (50th %). Dr said she will be a petite girl! He gave us the go ahead to start her on veggies, fruits, and water in a sippy cup! So off to the store we went...check out the video of her eating carrots. Her facial expressions are hysterical. Dr. B recommended we give her veggies until she likes them/is used to them, before introducing fruits. I want her to be a life-long vegetable eater! So we will see how that goes.
Also, since she is getting too big for her bathtub, we got her a new inflatable tub that goes in the big tub. We wanted to get a really cool ducky tub like her friend Ben, but we couldn't find it! Anyhow, that's why in the pictures, she is sitting with her sippy cup in the bathtub!
